Most under-eye treatments promise the world and deliver… well, mostly expensive disappointment. But two ingredients actually have science-backed benefits for reducing dark circles. And everyone thinks dark circles come from not getting enough sleep. And while exhaustion definitely makes them worse, there’s a lot more to it:

  • Thin Skin & Blood Vessel Congestion – The skin under your eyes is incredibly thin, so the tiny blood vessels underneath become more visible, especially when they’re swollen or sluggish. This creates that shadowy, purplish hue.

Now that you know what works, here’s how to incorporate them effectively:

DO THIS:

  • Sleep on your back – Sleeping face-down worsens eye bags by increasing fluid retention.

Another excellent alternative to using product with vitamin K is sweet almond oil. Using sweet almond oil can also effectively help erase dark circles due to the oil’s vitamin E and K content.  Vitamin E an anti-inflammatory protects the skin barrier, together with Vitamin K to stimulate circulation,  and fatty acids that nourishes the skin on more than just the surface.

 

SKIP THIS:

  • Expensive Creams with No Active Ingredients – If an eye cream doesn’t have caffeine, vitamin K, or retinol, it’s just overpriced moisturizer.
  • Excessive Rubbing or Scratching – This damages capillaries, making circles worse.
